In practice seldom used at more than 2000 rpm for 20 HP, which provides the ship with her “hull-speed” of close to 6 knots. Up to now the engine has never been revised. She has done now about 4000 running-hours but after a long winterstop she starts immediately with one turn of the starting-key. Oil consumption is somewhat high (characteristic for the Perkins 4108) but is still the same after 35 years. The gearbox has been revised thoroughly and ample spare parts are on board.  Cockpit.
