After consultation with the designer Alan Buchanan, a bowsprit of 1 meter length (type: wide frame with teak decking), was added. In that way the sailpoint came 80 cm. forward and the additional 20 cm are provided for better handling of the double-foresails (tradewind fassion). For the latter purpose there are two beams available, which are stowed upright against the mainmast when not in use. Moreover this frame-type bowsprit provides for better stowage of the main-anchor-ready-to fall. The masts are supported by more and heavier stainlesssteel stays and shrouds than the original design. Sails: The Furlex reefing/rolling foresails system has been renewed. Mainsail, foresail and mizzensail are nearly new. The stormjib, mizzenstaysail, trysail and double"bollejan" (combination of spinnaker and halfwinder) are still in very good condition. There are also a number of older foresails on board for emergency purposes. Cockpit/wheelhouse cover and covers of mainsail and mizzensail are new.
